Notebook (2019) – A Beautiful Love Story That I Can Never Forget
Some movies entertain us… some movies inspire us… and then there are movies like Notebook that become a memory for life. Produced by Salman Khan Films, this beautiful romantic drama is one of my all-time favorite Bollywood films, and honestly, even today this movie holds a very special place in my heart.
Story That Pulls You In
The story follows Kabir, an ex-soldier who becomes a teacher in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir. During his journey, he discovers a diary left behind by Firdaus, a former teacher of the school. As Kabir reads her thoughts, emotions, and life experiences written in the notebook, he slowly starts falling in love with the writer he has never met.
This unique concept is based on the Thai film The Teacher's Diary, and director Nitin Kakkar presents it with pure emotion and simplicity. The dialogues by Payal Ashar and Sharib Hashmi, along with screenplay by Darab Farooqui, make the story feel natural and deeply emotional.
Brilliant Performances
Zaheer Iqbal as Kabir delivers an honest and heartfelt performance, while Pranutan Bahl as Firdaus brings innocence and charm to the screen. Their chemistry feels pure, soft, and believable.
Music That Touches the Soul
The music composed by Vishal Mishra is simply magical. Every song perfectly fits the mood of the film. These are not just songs—they become emotions. Even today, listening to them brings back memories of my first watch.
Technical Details
The breathtaking cinematography by Manoj Kumar Khatoi beautifully captures Kashmir’s natural beauty, while editing by Sachindra Vats keeps the emotional flow intact.
Produced by Salman Khan, Murad Khetani, and Ashwin Varde under Cine1 Studios and Salman Khan Films, the movie was released on 29 March 2019 in India. Runtime is 112 minutes, language Hindi.
My Personal Memory With This Film
I still remember watching this movie during my college exam days. I thought I’d relax for some time before my exam… but after watching half the movie, my mind was completely inside Kabir and Firdaus’ story.
I went to give my exam, but honestly… the story was still running in my mind. I hadn’t seen the climax yet, and that curiosity stayed with me throughout the exam. The moment my exam ended, I rushed back home and completed the movie.
And when I watched the ending… wow. What a beautiful feeling. Even today, that memory is fresh in my mind. Very few movies leave that kind of impact. Notebook did exactly that.My Final Verdict
Notebook is not just a movie—it’s an emotion, a memory, and a beautiful journey of love, letters, and destiny. A brilliant story, soulful music, amazing performances, and pure emotions make it truly special.
⭐ My Personal Rating: 10/10
If you love romantic films with heart and soul, Notebook deserves a place on your watchlist.
